Radiography

X-ray examinations in children present interesting challenges to clinicians, radiographers and radiologists.  Limiting of unnecessary radiation is of foremost important in the pediatric patient.

Therefore, prudent utilization of this modality is foremost in the mind of the radiologist who is responsible for it's interpretation.  The discussion surrounds the necessity as well as how it is done.

Proper equipment is essential and digital radiography is the standard.  Meticulous technique by the radiographer prevents unnecessary exposure or repeat examinations.  Our technologists are all well-trained in the proper technique in imaging your child.

The radiologist has the latest in equipment to view the studies and promptly render an accurate interpretation
