site is devoted to Parents of Children cared for at Children's
Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and the Residents of Emory
University Department of Radiology
Our MRI equipment
includes a 3-tesla
Siemens scanner and a GE 1.5 T scanner, soon to be replaced
with a new 1.5T. The resolution, speed and sensitivity improves
significantly with 3.0T equipment and allows detailed
resolution required in our patient population.
A full-time MRI
physicist provides the support needed to continually monitor
the sequences and to add the important role of scientific
investigation.
